How to begin your music producer production.
Updated: Aug 17, 2022
As a starter producer, we all know that it is hard to begin any profession when you are just starting out.
Today I am going to highlight some items. That I use in my studio on a day-to-day basis.
I will provide links to all these products for you to check out!
Studio Monitors
These are the PreSonus Eris E3.5-3.5" Near Field Studio Monitors. They are cheap and affordable for only $99 for the pair. I love these speakers as they allow for multiple connections, and include the cables. They are small and compact as well and don’t take up alot of room.

Headphones
If for some reason you can’t do studio monitors in your space. Then go with the Audio Technica ATH-50x’s. They are comfortable and have a good flat sound to them. I use these when I want to hear a sound closely. Even at the price of $169 they are a good budget option. Sometimes they go on sale for a little bit cheaper. Still at the price they are the price of one higher end studio monitor.

Audio interface
Next we have the audio interface and the one I use and most people do: Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen USB Audio Interface. This is one of the affordable options as of now its $119 on sale. Regular price when not on sale is $149. You have connections for instruments and a microphone XLR with phantom power. It's USB powered as well so no adapters to carry around. Lastly if you want to connect studio monitors to it, there are ¼ inputs on the back of the audio interface.

Midi Keyboard
Last piece of equipment we have is our keyboard. Now just to say you DON’T have to have one , but if you want to be more hands on. I would consider the AKAI Professional MPK Mini MK3. It's small and compact to fit in your backpack if you are on the go. It has many onboard features that are usable in my workflow. The drum pads feel good and responsive when laying patterns down. Coming in as of now $119 not bad at all. The downfall yes it's only 25 keys but there is a button to move octaves. There are more onboard features like note repeat for faster work flow.
