Now we will have a look at the best reverb vst plugins for FREE!

1. Ambience

This has been my most used reverb plugin as of lately. The reason I used this reverb plugin so much is it is simple. Literally all you have to do is play with the mix knob in your DAW. Once you do this, the reverb gives you a more spacey feel. You can tweak the presets if you want but this reverb plugin really doesn't need it. It also has gating parameters you can adjust. You do have some pre - delay as well as adjusting. Here are some of the key features to expect from this plugin:

  • A vase array of presents

  • Dry and Wet knobs to control how much of the signal is let through

  • Pre - delay settings knob

  • Quality knobs this allows you to trade reverb quality for CPU usage

  • Width this allows you to change the signal from mono 0% to full stereo at 100%.

  • EQ section This is great to cut out frequencies that are unwanted in your reverb.

This reverb plugin as you see has a lot to offer and not just reverb. It has some great delay settings to really dial in the sound you want. Overall I love this simple looking but powerful plugin. As mentioned it is my go to reverb/delay plugin right now in production.

2. ValhallaSupermassive

Valhalla supermassive this is another great river plug-in. That is totally free with 16 modes of reverb/delay out of the box. Great thing is this plugin is free with no upgrades attached. This is a plug-in that is always advertised as a great plug-in for beginners. The reason why I like this plug-in whenever I do use it is it gives a very spacey feel. It’s pretty easy to use and they do have good pre sets but you can also tweak them from your preference. Not only is this a reverb plug-in but it is also a delay plug-in as well. And you can also mess with the EQ parameters of this plug-in as well. Overall, this is a great plug-in for anybody no matter the scale gap of your production. Key features of this plugin include:

Mix - This will control how much of the reverb is in the mix of your track.

Width - Do you want the reverb more center (mono) or spaced out (stereo).

Delay - Pre-delay setting by changing the time.

Warp - how much of a warping effect it has on your sound.

Mod - Controlling the modulation and rate of the reverb.

EQ Section - you can control the frequencies you want to cut or enhance.

Supermassive is a very space and easy plugin to use and I love using this one. 16 modes in this plugin to choose from and make a great sound.

3. Tal - Reverb 2

Tal reverb 2 another gray plug-in as well. This one is a plate style reverb. The reason why this one is a good reverb that I use in my production is. It’s very easy to use without a lot of knobs and it’s great to put on instruments. It may not look the greatest, but it’s also another good free rebirth I had to use in my production in the past. I don’t use it as much anymore but for anybody that is sorry now, I will highly recommend you get this. Also, this one has the ability for you to control parameters in your eq ranges. Lastly, and this plug-in it has the ability to control the pre-delay as well. Key features:

Wet and Dry knob - This will either give you a dry sound very a more wet sound from the reverb

Stereo Width - How much you want it in the center in mono versus space out in stereo

EQ Section - On this plugin you have high, mid, and low eq to control the area you want it in.

Pre- Delay - Setting you pre- delay you want in the mix along side the reverb

Room Size - How big of a reverb size you want in the mix

Tal Reverb 2 is a simple but still a great plugin for any level of musician.

4. Space lite by Cymatics

Here is another great free but powerful reverb plugin by Cymatics Space Lite. This plugin is partially easy to work and has 3 reverb modes to choose from. The full version if you purchase has about 20 plus. As described, it's great to put on instruments, vocals, and drums even. I have used this from time to time in production and I love it. It has a simple interface and easy to use present knobs. I highly recommend trying out this free plugin and see if you like this one in your production. Key features:

  • Mode - Here it can be changed to 3 modes. Changing the FX depth, mode, and rate you can alter the reverb mode.

  • Distortion - yes added distortion to your reverb is a cool feature.

  • EQ band - you will be able to affect the high, mid, and low frequencies.

Great plugin for a beginner and very simple to use.
